And honestly, Google can be helpful.

You can search what to pack.
You can look up the rituals.
You can find travel information.
You can read about what to expect.

But there are some things you can’t Google.

Like being in community with other women who desire to make Hajj. We realize everyone doesn’t have friends who are in the Hajj mindset. Or can answer:

What does it actually feel like to make Hajj?

What do you wish you knew before you went?

What happens when you’re nervous?

How do you prepare your heart, not just your suitcase?

And what do you do when you still have questions after you’ve read 17 different articles? 😂

Hajjah Sutanah made Hajj in 2009.

Before then, she had traveled to beautiful destinations around the world, spending thousands of dollars on vacations.

Then she made a decision that changed everything:

“I wouldn’t book another trip until I made Hajj.”

Why?

Because Hajj isn’t just another destination, with beautiful scenery, shopping and photo ops it’s one of the Five Pillars of Islam.

As Muslims, we’re blessed with five foundational acts of worship that strengthen our relationship with Allah:

✔️ Shahadah (Faith)

✔️ Salah (Prayer)

✔️ Zakah (Charity)

✔️ Sawm (Fasting in Ramadan)

✔️ Hajj (Pilgrimage to Makkah)for those who are physically and financially able.

In this beautiful reminder from Suratul Baqarah (2:196), Hajjah Sayeeda shares that your Hajj is part of Allah’s plan. Your responsibility is to make the intention, take the steps, and trust that Allah will facilitate the journey.

Tawakkul is not waiting until you have no fear. It’s moving toward what you’re praying for while having complete trust that Allah will guide you, provide for you, and open the doors that are meant for you.

Don’t wait until everything feels perfect to start preparing for Hajj. Start with your intention. Start with your plan. Start today.
