TC Charton Made to Fit The original Asian Fit eyewear collection. Inclusive designs since 2009. Alexandra Peng is the visionary designer and founder of TC CHARTON Made to Fit Eyewear.

Originally formed to address the need for well-fitting, stylish eyewear for Asians, TC CHARTON has found a wider, multicultural audience thanks to the bespoke nature of her designs. Each frame is designed with certain features in mind.

“I get my inspiration by studying people’s faces. I could be at a coffee shop, and I’ll see somebody with distinct features that will trigger an idea for my next

design,” said Peng. “My frames are actually named after the people that provided the inspiration.”

Peng spent more than 20 years designing and producing eyewear for global brands but was never able to find a pair of frames that fit her own face. Like for many Asians, fit was a problem: glasses would slide down her face, leave indentations on her cheeks or were downright uncomfortable. That’s because most eyewear companies design with Caucasian features in mind. In 2009, Peng founded TC CHARTON Asian Fit Eyewear, the first North American brand focused on making beautiful, well-fitting eyewear for Asians. Made to Fit has since taken the place of Asian Fit because the collection of more than 200 styles addresses multiethnic characteristics like higher cheekbones, lower or higher nose bridges, and wider and narrower faces.

“I am truly gratified by the responses I have received since I started my company,” said Peng. “I love that so many people of different ethnicities love the designs, not just because they look good, but also because they fit well and feel great. That’s been my goal.”

Our based model is sporting one of our newest top sellers , a unisex frame handcrafted with Japanese acetate. Regular injection plastic frames are no different than plastic bags, and they won’t withstand the test of time, can’t handle the heating process from the labs nor the heating pan of your opticians. They couldn’t be adjusted and have much shorter life span than cotton-based acetates.
