The world of Alethea Gabrielle Ruth Beharry revolves around music; she began singing before she could speak. Her parents heavily encouraged her to embrace her passion for the arts; her father gifting her a toy piano and her mother was her first vocal coach. She was involved in the arts while living in New York and Australia, but her raw talent soon flourished when she returned with her family to T
rinidad in 1998. Over the years, she was successful in many singing competitions and enjoyed singing for her schools as well as church. Alethea has been affiliated with the likes of The Trinidad and Tobago Youth Philharmonic St. Augustine Chamber Orchestra (2011-2012), Brian MacFarlane's "Christmas Joy" Star Cast (2018-2019), Synergy's "Friday Night Live" (2019), GSD Productions "Mixtape Online (2020) and MusicTT's "Spotlight" Artist Program (2020-2021). Alethea's music is heavily influenced by artists such as Freddie Mercury, Fleetwood Mac, Florence and the Machine, Aurora, Adele, Within Temptation, And Nightwish. Her style is a fusion of ethereal pop and alternative rock with some added Celtic sounds.
