Transparency moment.
In 2016, I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis and it changed my life in ways I could have never imagined. Some days test me in ways I didnβt see coming, but I rise to meet them every time.
Those who know me, knowβ¦ and as MS Awareness Month comes to a close, Iβm choosing to share a piece of my story. This year marks 10 years of living with MS.
Along this journey, I found something I didnβt even realize I neededβ¦a community. We Are ILL is an organization for Black women living with MS, Lupus, and NMO that is redefining what βsickβ looks like. It creates a space for connection, support, and real conversations about what this life truly looks like.
As a proud member of the Advisory Board, Iβm committed to raising awareness and supporting programs that uplift and empower women navigating MS every day.
If youβd like to support, the link is below. I would truly appreciate your donation to We Are ILL as we continue to advance our mission and expand our impact.
Because at the end of the day, even with MSβ¦ Iβm still that girl!
