When we did our Goober trading cards, I had plans to work through some of the other Wolves that played a role in my formative years, but I wasn’t expecting to be back here this quickly. Our hearts and thoughts are with Coach R***r’s family and friends.
I’ve read lots of great stories from folks that touched on Coach's faith and his football and it was actually because of Coach R***r’s faith that I stopped playing football. You see, Coach had so much faith that he was sure that my scrawny ass could tackle Daniel Knowles if I hit him hard enough and kept my feet moving. No offense to Coach, but that was a man amongst boys. Needless to say, I hung up my cleats and explored alternate avenues in academia shortly after that.
Anyway, we’re back and attempting to put the fun in fundraising again with some Coach R***r memorabilia to remember him. We have a trading card for $5, a trading card and some stickers for $10 or all of that and a shirt for $40. At the request of the family, all of the profits from the cards/stickers/shirts will be donated to the Davis Wolves Football Program.
We’ve ordered a batch of the cards and stickers and we’ll do a shirt order once the orders close and we have a final count on how many are needed. We’ll do a pickup window somewhere in Davis once all of the items are in or we can drop it to you Davis folks. Shirts are Bella blanks and available in kid/adult sizes. Kids will be on white, adults will be on Vintage White.
If you want one of the three packages, we need you to send the funds via Venmo or Paypal with a note saying what you want (include shirt size, if necessary) and an address, if you don’t live in Davis or if you need it dropped off in Davis. If you need it shipped, please include $1 for cards/stickers and $4 for shirts. Orders cutoff next Friday and then they’re gone and you’ll be left wishing you had one. So get one or two now so you don't regret it later.
