And this is why I measure everything before I start sewing. It doesn’t happen often, but with this last batch of fabric, I will have to go back to the fabric shop because I got two cuttings that were wildly uneven.
I’ve got some adorable floral print burp cloth in the works for a little girl that’s already arrived and one that’s on the way. These days most of what I do are custom orders so if you have something in mind that you want, let me know and I’m happy to do it for you.

A customer reached out to me to ask if I could make a blanket of the moody wolf and dogwood flower combo that was in the moody woodland burp cloth set she bought. Y’all, I was PUMPED, because I have been dying to make a blanket with this fabric combo. I never made it on spec to put up in my shop, but (my husband will tell you) every time I go to the fabric store I would pull out these bolts and wish someone would ask for a blanket. So happy I got it done tonight (thank you, youngest child, for actually going to be tonight).

This sweet blanket is now available and going up on the shop soon. It’s a little bigger than the usual 36 in x 36 in. It’s more like 48 in x 36 in. I originally got the fabric in order to make a blanket for a friend that was expecting, but her grandmother surprised her with a huge bin of hand-crocheted blankets, so she was set! Fun fact- this is also the blanket I made for my own daughter who just turned 6 months old this week 🥺 we used the blanket to swaddle her for our hospital pictures, and y’all!… she looked so sweet and elegant with this pretty floral and polka dot wrapping her up. Beyond cute, seriously!

I’m post call today, so it’s time to get sewing! One of the best parts of this shop is the commissions. I get to find out who’s pregnant and the gender before most people do. This absolutely precious forest mouse and windowpane fabric is going to be a blanket for an unsuspecting coworker. I’m so excited her friend commissioned this blanket because the fabric is so flipping cute, I’ve been dying to use it.

After taking a few months off following the birth of my little honeybun, Miss Eliza, I’m back doing a blanket for my husband’s friends that are expecting a little boy. They’re doing a Narnia theme (how adorable and classic is that!?), and I instantly thought of this fabric for its dark, moody, forest-y feel. The modified windowpane print in a golden mustard gives it that traditional English feel that makes you think of CS Lewis. I’m so excited for this one!
