What a beautiful Sunday 😌☀️ A great way to start the week and revisit all my strict policies and pricing. I have moved my business from De Queen, AR in the perfect timing. I see why an alterations shop is not permanently located there now. Alterations and sewing is an art. It takes time and patience. When you try to help everyone, it ends up only hurting you in the end trying to people please. That was my mistake. It is a dying art for a reason. Clothing can be bought for pennies online if it doesn’t fit. It takes a long time to learn a skill that is not widely known. I like to help people but i do not help people that do not respect my time. I dont charge for fittings or pick ups and I try to deliver any and all products when I’m behind to save the customer time. Not every customer is a good fit for me or me for them. It is what it is. I welcome anyone willing to work with me and I will take time to reorganize my business model for the future. It was a mentally and emotionally challenging season but I am proud of what I have accomplished. I will take this as an opportunity to humble myself and take less work in and charge higher prices to compensate.

No more jeans.
No more last minute alterations.
No more free fittings.

I welcome all opinions. As always there are multiple alterations shops in Texarkana and one in Nashville, AR. Feel free to visit another seamstress if my style of art and business does not fit your needs.

Prom Season 2026

It was a hectic busy season and its always smack dab in the middle of wedding season for spring, but I love working with all my prom girls and prom moms. We all go through so many emotions throughout the process. Sometimes its a pretty quick turnaround, other times, I need to completely restructure the dress of do it on a tight timeframe. My favorite part is always seeing the smiles and after photos. Its worth all the work, blood and sweat, (if it gets to that point)!

Some days I question why I do what I do but then the after season and compilation of seeing all my girls I worked with and memories we created together, it makes it all worth it.

Then I do it to my again and again. When I can bring happiness to others, it brings me happiness. I can see the love from all the moms in every fitting, every photo, every conversation we have together and I see the beauty that these girls bring to the future after high school. Grown women stepping foot into the world looking beautiful and strong.

Been feeling nostalgic but sometimes when you move through different phases of a career you forget where you started and the time you spent previously. Memory lane is definitely always a good way to bring back the extra oomph we need to remind us where we are and where we have been.

From sewing at the most basic levels to turning out many, many brides and my own previous bridal projects. Remembering I have seen so much from then until now. Its all about reflection and being thankful for how far we have come.

Custom dress created as base for lace wedding gown. Bride loved the he dress and wanted more modest coverage for the wedding because weddings are about everyone and everything involved. It was a sweet thought to transform a dress for family values. We all may live and choose differently but we all see the value of bringing happiness to the ones we love without losing ourselves in the process. This took a while to create as I am a mom and have moved studio locations multiple times. I have had the honor of receiving so many projects to love and put together to bring about moments of joy and memories through every customers clothing. I might not go to the events but I remember the journey of every stitch, every fitting and emotion and heart to heart conversation shared in each of my studios. It is why I do what I do. I love meeting people, hearing their stories, lives, experiences and getting to know them in a setting they feel safe and cared for. I feel like every fitting is a healing session to pause and release whatever you're thinking that you cannot share with someone you know on a daily basis.
It's a special time where | let secrets, feelings and lives be released without shame or judgement. I feel and learn so much with each person I work with. I feel close to them for those minutes during fittings. Its a wonderful experience that no other job has ever filled. It fills my emotional cup and the ability to use my creativity into an art that has been long forgotten by fast fashion trends.
Its the little things and the reflections that give life meaning every day to continue to find yourself in what you love doing, one story and stitch at a time.

Long overdue planning day. With all my work I am blessed with and time with my babies, its hard to pause and recalibrate to ground yourself and plan ahead. Creating a plan is the best way to schedule a full workload. Im grateful for the opportunities I have been blessed with and all my clients patience with my new scheduling, running around and multiple appointments. I plan to create a process and get an assistant soon to help manage the extras. In the meantime, thank you! Keep watching and let’s create memories through clothing and community 💕💓
