Abel’s going back to the operating room this morning as an emergent case. There’s concern with air near his incision on his abdomen. He should have made some recovery and improvements after the OR last weekend for his Cdh repair. Please keep him in your prayers. I have not seen him open his eyes since Tuesday morning and I’m really missing my little boy.😪

Happy 9th Birthday to the most brave and strong little boy who stole our hearts in 2017❤️

He’s still really swollen and couldn’t open his eyes for the 2 minutes he was awake today. He’s still on a BP medicine to keep his blood pressure up and stable. Morphine drip was stopped 2 hours ago and he’s still running a sedative to keep him calm to not pull out his NG tube, central line, and cuffed trach. Lung xray has his right lung diminished this morning and they’re keeping an eye on his labs. His Foley catheter was removed and his new surgical incision looks good.

He got a full body massage and gave me a smile and hug when he heard his favorite panda toy from home. They’re keeping him comfortable with around the clock scheduled pain meds through his IV and I was happy to see the morphine continuous infusion turned off.

Bostons supposed to have a snow storm and we’ll figure out a way to get back and forth from hospital to hotel with Beckett. Really hoping they allow cars on the road so we won’t have to walk in our sneakers.

I’m taking a little rest back at the hotel while he sleeps so I can be rested since I’m not sleeping at night and sick with worry.

We love you with the most unconditional love in the universe Abel Owen Taylor. Rest up my little rockstar. Your salty snacks and music will be waiting for you buddy.

Abel is looking for an LPN or RN on Sunday or Tuesday overnights (9pm - 7am)
Location: Deerfield, NH
•Location reference:
~ 20 mins from Concord, ~30 mins from Tilton, ~35 mins from Manchester or Seacoast

We are currently covered and want to allow the dream team an overnight shift off on a weekly basis. Join his team that have been with him for years. You will get adequate training.

Never worked Homecare but want to expand your complex care skillset? This one’s for you!
Non-smokers ONLY and you MUST be trainable. No trach/ventilator/pediatric experience required. Tired from having a patient overload that doesnt align with how you want to care for your patients? You’ve got a built in team here with a dedicated and loving family.

We use multiple agencies to staff his needs to have a larger selection of available nurses. You can choose to onboard with any of the following agencies: BAYADA Homecare (manchester), Regency Homecare, Team Select.

Please keep Abel in your hearts.
He’s home from the ED and is positive for Flu A & Adenovirus. Rest, fluids, meds, and comfort measures until he’s back to baseline.
Thankful for our dedicated team of nurses in the home for loving this kid so much and for the wonderful care from ED staff at Concord Hospital. 🤍
This mini ICU at home wouldn’t stay afloat without the exceptional care of Abel’s CAPE Team (our extended family for the last 8 years). Forever grateful to have Boston Children’s Hospital at our fingertips and to keep Abel home as much as humanely possible. ❣️
