Weston and his mom came into Cassandis looking for squishies because they help comfort him during his chemo treatments. Maylee called me after hearing his story because it touched her heart so deeply. As a Cassandis family, we wanted to put together a comfort basket for him, so I reached out to his mom, Joni.

While talking with her, she mentioned that Weston is a HUGE dog lover. Since my husband Jamie works for LPSO, I sent one simple text asking if Weston could maybe meet a few K9s. What happened next became something so much bigger than I ever imagined!

The LPSO family went completely above and beyond for this sweet boy. They created an entire day for him with behind the scenes tours of so many divisions, and getting to witness it all filled my heart in ways I can’t even explain. Weston and Joni were all smiles the entire day, and it reminded me so much of how God places people in your path exactly when they’re meant to be there.

I’m so thankful for my husband and for the incredible people he works with who have hearts big enough to go above and beyond for children like Weston.

Thank you, Weston and Joni, for becoming part of our Cassandis family.

And to the rest of our Cassandis family, please keep this beautiful little boy, his mom, and their family in your prayers. People are fighting battles you would never know about… until they walk through your doors looking for squishy toys 🫶
