Goodwill vs Arc? (my local thrift) 🛒♻️

When I post my videos or vlogs talking about pricing, I get a lot of comments of “do you ever go to goodwill?” And the answer honestly is no. Goodwill lacks the supply of plus sizes and that’s the honest truth. When they do have plus sizes it’s SHEIN or the cheapest polyester clothing you can find. While their pricing has been said to be better, today trip didn’t show that. Maybe it’s because I never really go to goodwill anymore? But these prices were high. $15 for used jeans? 😳

Personally, if I’m in the market to go thrifting for clothing as a plus sized woman - I’m going to Arc Thrift Stores every time. They never fail to carry such an array of items. I’ve found up to 8X at arc and that’s truly without trying. Their categories of clothing across the board consistently carry all plus sizes.

After Epsiode 8, I needed to hit up another Arc in the area to really make it the worthwhile drive. So o drove 15 minutes to Loveland with fingers crossed this was a better location. And that she was! Immediately was greeted with an open thrift full of goodies to find. If you’re looking for cute and affordable vintage pieces this one is good! As well as modern (like free people). Very clean and organized. I would definitely visit again.

I drove a little over an hour to the Fort Collins location as a new to me location. I had high expectations, because I will say it is HUGE! They cover all the bases on having a good amount of every category. However, my biggest disappointment was how incredibly high everything was priced. 😪 Personally, this was the highest priced location I have been to yet and I was kinda shocked given the area. It really deterred me from getting quite a bit of things. I hope Arc will see this and reconsider their pricing to encourage more secondhand shopping. Just because it’s NWT does not mean we need to double or triple the price.

Overall rating:
4/10 (would be rated higher if prices were more reasonable)

I had only been to this location when I first moved to Colorado in 2017, so I technically call this my first time (back). 😋 And if you were to just a thrift by the outside you’d never go in - BUT DON’T DO THAT! This one had me heavily surprised by incredible selections 😍 the staff was also SO incredibly kind, helpful and welcoming.

It might be more than you think - not to mention I’m just a one woman show 🥹🫶🏼✨🛒♻️

Resellers get a bad rep, which is a bummer because resellers aren’t new at all and have been around for decades. And while yeah you totally CAN likely thrift for yourself, not everyone can! Due to accessibility (no thrift stores or thrifts with not many options), disability, no time, no desire to sift through the thrift for hours, etc. Anew does ALL the hard work for you and provides the best items at the touch of a button. Thrifting from your couch and shipped directly to your doorstep with all your favorite brands ✨

Words can never express how grateful I am to be in the position I am today with Anew; and as always none of it is possible without each and every one of your support weekly!!!!
