Our SWAP + STITCH’D event has been rescheduled!

Join us on July 13th from 1PM–5PM for an afternoon of creativity, upcycling, and sewing community.

☀️ Sew Creative Summer Camp is officially happening this summer 🧵✨

If you know a kid who loves being creative, making things with their hands, fashion, art, or DIY projects….this camp is for them 💚

We’ll be learning sewing, upcycling clothes, making fun projects, building confidence, and just creating in a really fun and supportive environment. No experience needed at all!

Camp will run biweekly this summer through UpStitch’d and spots will be limited.

🧵 Laura Garcia — Sewing Instructor

Laura is an FCS High School Teacher with 8 years of teaching experience and a passion for sewing, fashion, and creative education. She loves inspiring emerging designers and sharing her knowledge with the community while encouraging creativity through sewing and design. ✂️

🪡 Kaitlyn Munro — Seamstress

Kaitlyn has been sewing for over 30 years and has worked on numerous theater productions throughout the Des Moines area, including award-winning costume design for *The SpongeBob Musical* (2025). She’s passionate about making sewing accessible to everyone through alterations, community events, and beginner sewing classes. ❤️
