Some women don't just participate in the conversation…they change what we're allowed to talk about.
Gloria Steinem spent decades challenging who held power, whose stories mattered, and what women should be able to expect from their lives.
Her work was part of a much bigger movement, built alongside countless women, including women whose names never became household names, but her voice helped bring feminism into the center of American culture and keep it there.
And while the work has evolved, the assignment hasn't disappeared.
Speak up. Take up space. Open doors. Question the rules that were never written with us in mind. And when you get somewhere worth being, make damn sure another woman knows she belongs there too.
The future is female because women before us fought to make a different future possible.
