We are proud to announce that our Founder is apart of the 2026 × Membership Cohort Class — twenty founders selected to spend six months building inside The Mezz, Michigan Central’s newest 17,000-square-foot innovation space, as the inaugural class of its kind in one of America’s most important buildings.
Through her work alongside ’s eccentric community of collaborators, Amanda has helped to divert 76,000+ pounds of clothing from Detroit landfills and is building the circular textile infrastructure — swap festivals, permanent space, manufacturing pipeline — that could make Michigan the national hub for sustainable fashion.
Crain’s Detroit Business covered it before it launched. CBS Detroit sent cameras. One truth guided how we built it: founders don’t just need resources — they need the right rooms. Proximity. Accountability. An ecosystem that includes the University of Michigan, the Knight Foundation, and the full weight of Michigan Central’s innovation district.
*”The higher the ceiling, the bigger your thoughts.”*
We are among the twenty.
We are so excited about the magic this program will bring to the community and beyond!
