DETROIT – Detroit’s coolest new collection of boutique shops is hidden in plain sight, overlooking Eastern Market and catering to fashion conscious women and men. The Shops on Top at 2362 Russell Street brings together Modele Dress and High Street Menswear.
Located in the heart of Eastern Market, the new stores surprise every visitor who comes across them. This growing mall of boutique shopping occupies the entire second floor of a large and once-empty brick building that’s been a market fixture since 1897.
The stores are operated by Deron and Tina Washington, a husband-and-wife team with more than two decades of retailing experience. They’ve created shops that rival something you’d find tucked into a secret spot in a New York neighborhood.
