After spending time in prayer, I was reminded of Proverbs 3:15:

“She is more precious than pearls; nothing you desire can compare with her.”

That verse became the inspiration behind what I now call The Pearl Poetry Collection.

Each piece was written with the hope of reminding women of their value, their strength, and the truth that they are seen, even in seasons when they feel forgotten.

This collection includes four different poems, each written for a different season of the heart.

🌿 For the woman healing quietly.

🌿 For the woman everyone leans on.

🌿 For the caregiver who gives so much of herself to others.

🌿 For the hearts grieving the loss of someone deeply loved.

The truth is, many women carry struggles they rarely talk about. They show up for everyone else, hold families together, navigate heartbreak, care for loved ones through impossible situations, carry grief, and somehow keep moving forward.

These poems were written to remind those women that they are seen.

Not because poetry fixes pain.

But because sometimes being seen is the beginning of healing.

Sometimes the words we need are the ones someone else writes for us.

There are many people who want to say something meaningful to anyone who has ever lost a child or an adult family member, but simply do not know how to verbalize what is in their heart.

That is why these poetry pieces were created.

Each poem was thoughtfully written to help fill that space during moments of grief, remembrance, and loss, offering words of comfort when emotions can feel too heavy to express alone.

The blush floral collection was created for the loss of an adult loved one, offering comfort, remembrance, and gentle words for grieving hearts navigating the absence of someone deeply cherished.

The sage and greenery collection was thoughtfully created for the loss of a child, written to honor precious lives gone too soon while offering tenderness, compassion, and something meaningful for families to hold onto during unimaginable grief.

These pieces may be gifted to grieving family members and loved ones, or read aloud during memorial services by pastors, speakers, funeral hosts, or churches. After the reading, the piece can then be handed to the family as a meaningful gift they can take home with them.

There are some kinds of grief that leave people without words.

The loss of a child is one of them.

If you are a grieving parent or family member, I just want you to know that you are loved, you are seen, and it is okay if you do not have the words right now. You may never fully have the words for a loss this deep.

That is one of the reasons I wanted to write them for you.

I wanted to create something that could bring comfort to hurting hearts, something that could help express the love, grief, and heartbreak that so many families carry after unimaginable loss.

If you know a grieving parent, or someone attending a funeral who simply does not know what to say, I pray this poem becomes the words they have been searching for. Sometimes we should say something, even when we are afraid of saying the wrong thing, and this piece may help give you the words to say. After reading it, you can hand it to the grieving family as a gift, something they can hold onto that represents their child and the love that will always remain.

Before I write pieces like this, I always pray and ask God what hurting parents and families need to hear most. My prayer is that this poem feels like a hug to anyone carrying this kind of pain, because if I were there in person, I would hug you myself.

This poem was inspired by my husband’s cousin Jason, whose life and loss deeply impacted those who loved him.

I am incredibly honored to share that this piece is now available at Michigan Southern Charm in downtown Howell.

I pray it brings comfort, peace, and reminds grieving families that their love does not end here.

Well, the amazing Jordan Pike Photography has done it again! Watching years worth of creativity, storytelling, faith, and the love of the western and country world come to life through these photos has been such an incredible experience. 🐎🌻There is something deeply healing about the land, an open field, the quietness of the countryside, and the horses that run across it. So much of my inspiration has come from those places and moments.

Seeing my books displayed this way honestly feels surreal. From children’s stories to coloring books and now stepping into the world of poetry, this journey has been filled with growth, healing, and purpose.

A website will be coming soon, along with my very first horse poetry book, so keep an eye out for future announcements because trust me, you will not want to miss what is coming next. ✨

She Rides Where I Cannot Yet Go

There is a place
where breath does not break,
where time does not take,
where love does not loosen its hold.

I see her there.

Small hands resting
on a mane that moves like wind,
a quiet knowing in her posture
as if she has always belonged
to something eternal.

The horse beneath her
not bound by earth,
not burdened by weight
moves with a grace
that feels like forgiveness,
like freedom finally understood.

Wings unfold
not to escape,
but to carry.

And she rides
not away from me,
but ahead.

Ahead of sorrow,
ahead of the questions
that still ache in my chest,
ahead of the empty spaces
that echo her name.

I imagine her laughter
soft against heaven’s sky,
her spirit light, unafraid,
held in a peace
I am still learning to trust.

This is not loss there.
This is becoming.

She is not gone.
She is growing
in a place where nothing is broken,
on a horse that knows the way
between here and forever.

And one day
when my own breath quiets
and the weight of this world
falls gently from my shoulders

I will see her again.

Riding toward me,
not as memory,
but as a miracle.
