The 2026 Hightail to Ale just went off with a bang! Lighting the Detroit riverfront up with runners from all over! Huge shoutout to all the runners, walkers and supporters who showed up and showed out! A special shoutout to our awesome volunteer brew crew who made this event possible! We couldn’t have done it without you!

We hope you all enjoyed this year’s Hightail to Ale and we hope you’ll join us for another one next year!

🍺 Detroit, you can still Hightail!

Didn’t register yet? No problem. Late registration will be available on race day, so you can still jump into one of the most fun Friday nights of the spring.

Race day packet pickup and registration open Friday at 4:00 PM at Atwater Brewery, so if you’ve been thinking about it, there’s still time to grab your spot and head to the starting line.

The 2026 Hightail to Ale takes over the Detroit riverfront with a fast, flat 5K starting and finishing at Atwater Brewery. Expect skyline views, smooth miles, river breezes, and a finish line that quickly turns into a full-on party.

Once the run is over, stick around for cold drinks, live music, food trucks, and a packed riverfront patio full of runners and friends kicking off the weekend together.
