www.tiktok.com/.with.detroit Down with Detroit is the brainchild of two longtime friends who are often told that they share a brain. It all started in 1987 on the bus ride to grade school. During their daily bus rides, these enterprising 7 year-olds developed a business plan to sell t-shirts online. Of course, the internet wasn't quite ready for these brilliant young minds. These two young go-getters, now armed with college diplomas, have moved back in with their parents and started looking for "real" jobs. Anyone fresh out of college in 2003 in Michigan can tell you, they had alot of free time. So, being fed up with searching for jobs and starting to become a real burden on their aging parents, these two fellas decided to fall back on that old school bus idea. The internet had finally caught up. So they started Down with Detroit in June, 2006. The rest is history...err..

Last time we played Carolina… Detroit put up 42.

A little trickery. A whole lot of touchdowns. Detroit beat Carolina 42–24 at Ford Field on October 8, 2023.

Run it back tonight.

On this day in 1924, the first Irish Hills observation tower opened to visitors. What followed was a very Michigan kind of rivalry.

After the Michigan Observation Company built on neighboring land, Edward Kelly put up a competing tower just feet away. The rivals then raised their towers in a battle for the better view.

102 years later, that story is part of the history behind the familiar Irish Hills Towers.

On this day in 1987, the Tigers took the AL East.

Frank Tanana threw a complete-game shutout, Larry Herndon supplied the only run with a solo homer, and Detroit beat Toronto 1–0 at Tiger Stadium on the final day of the regular season.

Happy 31st birthday, Jabrill Peppers!

From 2014 through 2016, Peppers gave Michigan a player who could change a game on defense, offense, or special teams. His final season in Ann Arbor brought unanimous All-America honors, the Paul Hornung Award as college football’s most versatile player, and a trip to New York as a Heisman Trophy finalist.

Here’s to No. 5 and all the ways he made Saturdays at the Big House worth watching. Go Blue!

Three goals. Opening night. Overtime winner.

On October 4, 2001, Brendan Shanahan opened the season with a hat trick as the Red Wings beat San Jose 4–3 in overtime. Two of his goals came shorthanded, including the game-winner.

The first night of a season that would end with the Stanley Cup in Detroit.

Detroit hosts Winnipeg at 1 PM ET at Little Caesars Arena. Time to shake off the opener and get that first win.
