I’ve been sitting with a lot lately.

Questioning myself. Questioning some of the decisions I’ve made. Wondering if the things I believe in as deeply as I do are actually going somewhere.

And if I’m being completely transparent, there have been moments lately where I’ve felt a little lost.

Tonight I found myself thinking about the story in Luke 15.

100 sheep.

99 were there.

1 was lost.

And He went after the one.

That hit me differently tonight.

Because when you’ve been the one, you understand what it means to be found.

I’ve had chapters of my life where I didn’t recognize the person staring back at me. Chapters where I’ve had to rebuild. Start over. Fight my way back. Believe in myself when there wasn’t much evidence telling me that I should.

And even now, while trying to build something that means so much to me, those feelings can creep back in.

Am I doing the right thing?

Am I good enough to do this?

Does any of this actually matter?

Should I keep going?

I don’t have some inspirational answer tonight.

I still have doubts.

I still overthink.

I still get discouraged.

I still have days where the distance between where I am and where I want to be feels enormous.

But tonight I was reminded of something.

Being lost doesn’t mean you’ve been abandoned.

The shepherd didn’t look at the 99 and decide one wasn’t worth the trouble.

He went looking.

For the one.

And maybe there are seasons in life where you have to know what it feels like to be the one before you can truly understand what it means to be found.

Maybe some of our hardest chapters aren’t where our story falls apart.

Maybe they’re where we finally discover who we are.

So tonight, this isn’t an announcement.

It isn’t a launch.

It isn’t me pretending I suddenly have everything figured out.

It’s just a reminder I needed for myself.

And maybe somebody reading this needs it too.

I HAD TO BE THE 1 BEFORE I COULD ASCEND.
