David Rothschild Company, founded in 1886 by David Rothschild as a wholesale dry goods and notions business in Columbus, Georgia, with his brother Gerson as an associate. David's three sons, Irwin, Maurice and Jac continued and re-invented the company, meeting the challenge of evolving conditions by changing the company into a contract weaver of popularly priced upholstery fabrics. Before World War Il, the company bought Cherokee Mills at Acworth, Georgia and for 40 years wove its own tapestries, brocades, and needlepoints. into the third generation. After serving in World War II, Irwin's sons Norman, David II, and Irwin, Jr. and Jac's son Benno joined the business and opened sales offices and warehouses across the
country. David II bought the company in 1980, and two of his sons, David Ill and Walter, came into the business. Today the company designs, makes yarns, and weaves all of its upholstery fabrics at its mill in Reidsville, North Carolina.

Just another textile story and history that many may not know in the depth of american textiles and american manufacturing.

thank you to for sharing our fifth generation CEO educational article on all of the world of confusion over PFAS Regulation Challenges. Rosenstein states “ the miscommunication, disinformation, and overall confusion that is being spread around the textile industry regarding “ PFAS” is getting worse every day.”. Finishing and , Brian probably spends half of us his time navigating and dealing with PFAS in one or another, and the frustrations that come alongside all. Last year Trade Industry Leader renamed their coveted textile show from ShowTime to the new InterWoven … the show, website, and all new digital platforms allowing the textile industry to be empowered with even more tools. We thinks these first few have been a huge success. Not an understatement to say the textile industry is “ close-knit” …. Looking forward to more with ! A day late for the post, but should always be on all minds…..As we honor all today who've given life,
time, and contributions that affect each of us and all of the American freedoms have, we thank you for your service. Today we tip our hats especially to our third generation founder and leader, Dan
Goldman. Based out of Foggia, Italy …. 1st
Lieutenant Goldman flew 26 missions over
Europe during WWIl. As the "Liberty Belle's" Navigator, Goldman earned
numerous air combat medals. ( standing
3rd from left) With his 32nd Squadron, which is known to have flown more
missions than even that of the "Memphis
Belle". After the war, Dan would join his cousin, Fred Rosenstein, also an American Veteran of the US Army, to take TSG
Finishing to many new levels. To this date
a number of patents remain in Goldman's
name, for the knowledge, study and success of specialized textile
technologies. Now in our 5th generation. Today and everyday, we thank you, our veterans.
