June is Men’s Mental Health Month ❤️ and honestly, it needs to be talked about way more than it is.

Men are taught to “man up,” “get over it,” “be strong”…but what about being human? What about the silent battles, the bottled-up emotions, the pain that gets masked as anger or brushed off completely?

Mental health doesn’t have a gender, but society sure treats it like it does. So here’s your reminder:
🧠 Crying isn’t weak.
🧠 Therapy isn’t shameful.
🧠 Struggling doesn’t make you less of a man.

To every dad, son, brother, friend, or partner who’s been carrying too much in silence ; I see you. I support you. And I hope you give yourself the same grace you give to everyone else. 💚

✨ Today marks the closing of a HUGE chapter of our lives, three years to be exact. ✨

For the first time in a long time, we have no open orders, no pending lists, no “I need this by Friday” requests. And honestly? That’s a tough pill to swallow. 🥹

Yes, we officially shut down a while ago. However, we still had a few things we needed to make right, which was no small feat with everything life kept throwing at us. Between my health, personal challenges, and just the overwhelming everything… it felt nearly impossible at times. But we did it. 🌿💪

We poured so much of ourselves into this little shop, creating new things, spreading love through boutique and
Hand made gifts, and connecting with people who truly believed in what we were doing. But life has a funny way of forcing you to hit pause. We realized it was time. Time to step back, time to breathe, and time to focus on healing and growth. 🌸

It’s been a rollercoaster 🎢 some days filled with joy and excitement, others with frustration and disappointment. But no matter what, we’re walking away knowing we did our best. And to those who supported us through every step of the journey (even when it wasn’t always easy), THANK YOU from the bottom of our hearts. 💖

And let’s not forget, it’s June, Pride Month. 🌈 A time to celebrate authenticity, love, and resilience. A time to remember that kindness is louder than judgment. To the ones who stood by us with love and respect, you’re seen and appreciated. To the ones who chose to judge or spread their bitterness? Well… we’re too busy celebrating life and love to let bitterness weigh us down. ✨🏳️‍🌈

Rivera Design Co. may have started as a small business, but today it’s something much deeper. A reminder that mental health, self-care, and kindness come first. 💬💞

We’re not sure where this next chapter will lead, but we’re here, grateful and standing stronger than ever. 🌸 If you’ve been a part of this journey, just know you’ll always have a place in our story.

A Bittersweet Goodbye… and a New Beginning

After so much love, hustle, and heart poured into Rivera Design Co, it’s time to officially say goodbye to the shop. This wasn’t an easy decision—but it’s the right one for this season of life.

That said… this page isn’t going anywhere.

Instead of shutting it down completely, I’m choosing to shift its purpose. From now on, this space will become a place for mental health, healing, honest conversations, and gentle reminders.

Because behind every business, every post, every handmade product—was a real person just trying to get through life like everyone else. And I know I’m not the only one who needs a space to feel seen, safe, and supported.

So while Rivera Design Co is coming to a close, this page will grow into something just as beautiful—maybe even more so.

Thank you for the support all this time. I hope you’ll stick around for this next chapter.

Hey friends and family —
I hope everyone’s doing well. Grab a cup of coffee (or something stronger, I won’t judge) and sit with me for a second.

This isn’t easy to write.

I know I made this announcement once before… and then y’all begged me to stay open — so I did. We narrowed down products, shifted focus, kept pushing… and I really, really tried. But the truth is, life has a way of showing up uninvited and flipping the table.

So here it is:
Rivera Design Co. will be closed until further notice.

This wasn’t an overnight decision, and it’s one that’s been weighing heavy on my heart. With Braden in school and working full time and me working a full-time job myself, I’ve been juggling wholesale orders left and right — our last wholesale order was over 400 blankets and towels just from one business alone. And while I’m insanely grateful for the opportunity, let me be real — I am one person… and it’s brought me more stress than I can count.

If I were a stay-at-home mom, maybe I could juggle all of this a little easier. But I’m not. I’m working until 6, 7 or 8 every night, and then starting my second shift — the business — from 8 PM until whenever I finally finish. I can’t keep doing that and still show up fully for my job, my kids, or even myself. I’ve been running on fumes for months… and it’s catching up.

The shop that once brought me so much joy and creative excitement has started to feel like pressure, anxiety, and burnout. And I promised myself I wouldn’t let something I love turn into something that hurts.

Prices are rising faster than I can blink, and I can’t in good conscience keep raising mine to survive — I just won’t do that to y’all. I’ve always prided myself on being affordable and accessible, and I’m not willing to compromise my integrity just to keep up.

The last three years have been incredible. Rivera Design Co. was born from passion and kept alive by YOU. Every order, every comment, every “I love this” — it’s meant the world to me. Braden and I are beyond grateful for the love, the support, and the friendships we’ve made along the way.

So… what now?

Our final event will be May 4th with Painted Hive Co. (link below!)
After that, we’ll be liquidating remaining inventory. So if you’ve had your eye on something, now’s the time.

After this event, I will be making one final ready to sell Post. More than likely this will be a pay what you can post so I can liquidate and get rid of my products. I will keep you guys posted .

Maybe one day I’ll be back. Maybe a new chapter is coming. But for now, I’m choosing to be present. With my kids. With my life. And with myself.
