Doraville Pride was founded in 2018 with a simple but meaningful goal: to encourage the City of Doraville to recognize LGBTQ Pride and demonstrate to the world that Doraville is a welcoming and inclusive community. To achieve this, we organized a group of marchers to proudly represent Doraville in Atlanta’s Pride Parade.
Over the years, we not only accomplished our goals but exceeded them. Doraville Pride has been instrumental in organizing multiple Pride events within our city and ensuring that Doraville was represented in Metro Atlanta’s annual Pride celebrations year after year.
We owe a huge thank-you to Angie and Ashley, who have led the group since COVID, as well as to all the incredible volunteers who dedicated their time and energy to our efforts.
Now that the group has fulfilled its original mission and our leaders are focusing on new projects, Doraville Pride is winding down operations. As part of this transition, we’ve donated our remaining treasury balance of $252.56 to Lost-n-Found Youth, a local nonprofit supporting LGBTQ youth.
