One of the greatest parts of this journey is the people you meet along the way. We’ve had the privilege of connecting with some truly inspirational individuals! Today we met Ashley and Jacob from The House Of Coop — people whose creativity, passion, and dedication are nothing short of amazing.

On a Whim, we invited them to stop by and see us
at Backyard Treasures and to visit our friends at A.L.’s Pantry & CO and Black Sheep Antiques & Gifts. They shopped and Debbie Newman Tong might have had a Fangirl moment or three AND she got to see Ashley’s Awesome House of Coop colored Nails!

It’s refreshing to meet others who share a love for this community, hard work, and turning dreams into reality. Conversations like these remind us why we do what we do and how powerful it is to surround yourself with positive, motivated people.

Grateful for the connections, the inspiration, and the encouragement to keep growing. Looking forward to what’s ahead! ✨

Many people confuse Memorial Day and Veterans Day, but each holiday carries its own special meaning.

Memorial Day is a day of remembrance for the brave men and women who gave their lives while serving in the United States military. It is a time to honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom.

Veterans Day, observed each November, honors all who have served in the military — both living and deceased — and thanks them for their service and dedication to our country.

One day remembers the fallen.
One day honors all who served.

Both remind us of the courage, sacrifice, and patriotism of America’s heroes

Did you know the origins of Memorial Day date back to the years following the Civil War?

Originally known as “Decoration Day,” communities across America gathered to decorate the graves of fallen soldiers with flowers and flags to honor those who gave their lives in service to our country. In 1868, General John A. Logan officially called for a nationwide day of remembrance, and over time the tradition became what we now know as Memorial Day.

Today, Memorial Day stands as a powerful reminder of the sacrifice, courage, and dedication of the men and women who died defending our freedoms.

As we enjoy time with loved ones this weekend, let us also remember the true meaning of this day and honor the heroes who made our freedom possible.

Today, we remember and honor the brave men and women who have made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom.

Memorial Day is more than a long weekend, it is a time to reflect on the courage, service, and selflessness of those who gave everything for our country. We are forever grateful for the freedoms we enjoy because of their sacrifice.

As we spend time with family and friends today, may we also pause to remember the heroes who are no longer with us and the families who carry their memory every day.

Never forgotten. Always honored.
