All of our designs begin with a basic sketch! This design is Style # 2031—an Elegant High Neck and Long Sleeve Contrasting Design Dress.

• Covering neck for full coverage and formal / classy appearance. Can be changed to scoop neckline.
• Long sleeve for full coverage.
• Bodice are semi fitted design.

This high necked dress with long sleeves can be made with a combination of different fabrics, such as lace with woven fabric. It can be also nice with plain fabric with printed fabric. You can choose any printed fabric from our online selections at Fabric Hawaii. We have lots more fabric selections in our store.

If you want to use your own fabric, we can do that also. However, we cannot work on certain fabrics and some prints may need extra caution. Please consult with us before purchasing fabrics.

We have a deep respect for the history of Hawai’i and are honored to be part of a long tradition here.

It was our honor to create a near exact reproduction of Queen Kamamalut’s gown for our Fashion Journey fashion show. Every possible detail was painstakingly noted and recreated.

However, a few components were not available, such as the 28 unique brass buttons. The original buttons were made of fine, woven threads. Since our reproduction was intended for a fast-paced fashion show, silk was not used as it was for the original gown.

This original gown is housed in Bishop Museum’s archives. There, the archives state that, “It is believed that this gown was created for the Queen while she and King Kamehameha II were in England on the tragic and fateful trip in 1824.”

The design can be altered anyway you like, such as making it longer, more flare, more fitted, etc. Because we do everything in-house, we can accommodate any request.

Our White Long Sleeve Tapa Print High-neck Traditional Muumuu, with its long sleeves and high neck, is perfect for formal occasions—and church!

The dress is fully lined, and the yoke area uses eyelet contrasting fabric. The neck and yokes are trimmed with cording and frills.
