There’s always more than one way to wear a piece… and apparently, there’s always a mother waiting to prove it.

One look from Ease Theory, two completely different perspectives. I wore it as designed, and Mom saw something entirely different — turning the pants into a dress and making the piece completely her own.

Maybe she’s right after all… when you listen to your mother, good things happen. 🤍

Fashion should leave a little room for imagination.

Not everything we create is meant to become a collection.

Some pieces exist simply because an idea needed somewhere to go. We cut it, build it, live with it for a while—and sometimes decide not to take it any further.

That doesn’t make the piece any less special. Sometimes, it makes it more so.

This was one of those samples. A version that never made it to production, but one I’ve always loved.

And soon, some of these one-of-one experiments, past samples, and pieces from the process will finally have somewhere new to go.

Some pieces don’t need a moment. They create one.

This one somehow never made it to the page, but maybe that makes revisiting it even better. Soft, unapologetic, and designed with just enough restraint to let the woman wearing it decide the rest.

Ivory or Bordeaux — same dress, completely different energy.

Sometimes the material comes before the design.

A client came to me with a few small pieces of beautiful lambskin leather and a simple idea: let’s make something out of this.

There’s something I love about being handed a material with its own history and figuring out what it still has the potential to become. Lambskin has such a soft, refined quality, so it felt worth slowing down and making every piece count.

We were able to create two bags from what we had — one for my client, and one that is now available.

Projects like this are also a reminder that custom doesn’t always have to begin with me sourcing the material. If you have beautiful leather, fabric, or something tucked away waiting for the right idea, bring it to me. Let’s see what it can become.

There are some things you create for the moment… and others that become part of the memory.

Next month I have the honor of officiating my cousin Sidney and her fiancé Nick’s wedding — and of course, I had to create something worthy of the occasion.

Silk dupioni. Tailored trousers. A clean vest. A double-gauze shirt shaped with pleating and subtle details throughout. Every piece considered, but nothing fighting for attention.

My work is either officially done… or just getting started. 😂

Sidney + Nick, you haven’t seen it yet — **do I have your approval?** 🤍

This suit is coming out so nice… I might have a hard time giving it up.

There’s something different about creating for a moment that only happens once. The trousers, the cummerbund, the smallest details — every decision made with intention.

Elegance doesn’t always need to announce itself. Sometimes, it lives in the details.

There’s something special about seeing a piece leave the studio and step onto the runway.

This Friday, I’m excited to be bringing Designs by RJG to “She Feels Like Summer,” an evening celebrating fashion, music, and creative connection in one of Malibu’s most beautiful settings.

Hosted by Chase Bell at Cielo Du Sol (Cielo Farms Malibu), the evening will feature live music, fashion, networking, an award gifting session by .usa, breathtaking vineyard views, charcuterie, and wine—all curated to bring together some of today’s most exciting creatives.

I’d love for you to join us and experience an unforgettable summer evening.

The older I get, the less interested I am in proving that I can make something.

I’m more interested in seeing where an idea will take me if I don’t rush it.

This piece didn’t start with a finished vision.

It started with a willingness to experiment-to paint, to stitch, to take risks, and to let each step shape the next.

Maybe that’s why I love working with textiles so much.

They always give something back.

The fire wasn’t meant to be dramatic.

It just felt like the last chapter of the same story.

Maybe some people aren’t meant to find each other.

Maybe they’re meant to find themselves first.
And somewhere along the way, their paths cross at exactly the right moment.

This collection is a reflection of that feeling—of timing, connection, and the quiet moments that shape who we become.
