Black Russian Label is a contemporary women’s fashion line, designed by Joanna de’Shay. COLLECTION #1 - Salute to Denim. COLLECTION #2 - Global Trekker.

The inspiration for this clothing brand comes from Joanna’s own unique cultural background of being born to a Nigerian father and a Russian mother. Clever collection of military styled garments all fabricated out of various weights and colors of Denim. Fashion Forward journey around the world.

Oh how I love a good collab! Got a chance to meet with my girl Felicia who is an Actor, Singer, Author, Artist and Director to talk about the play she is directing! It had been too long but just like that it was like no time at all had passed.

How I have missed this brilliant woman. Wait until you see what we have brewing for these characters. You are just going to have to come out and see the play for yourself to experience it! Thank you for trusting me hun.

This year’s theme “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style” is significant especially in today’s weaponized anti-DEI climate. Bravo to for the foresight and tenacity to not waver on this important exploration of Dandyism which is a form of cultural expression, resistance and self-identity for Black Men.

As a Fashion Professor I am geeking out at some of the early arrivals who clearly understood the assignment.
