I’m so proud to have been part of the team that helped create the trophies and plaques for some of this year's local mountain bike races! It's a labor of love, and I’m grateful to contribute to, to give back, to sports that have meant so much to me.

Special thanks to the volunteers and everyone behind the scenes who make these events possible year after year. Your energy and commitment are what bring our sports community together!

Chop! Chop! These cutting boards are just tooooo beautiful for cutting up! They're made from a combination of Sapele Wood (edges) and Cherry (middle) left over from other projects. I put these together over the weekend in my weee-shop. I use a combination of mineral oil and bees wax for a non-toxic finish. If you like them I can make more.

For my U12 & Under ski racers this year, I made them a wooden medal to honor their amazing ski racing skills this season. Our league doesn't call out the age groups as a team, only the overall. But if they did these kids were by far the fastest among their peers. Watch out Wijara, these kids are going to dominate the competition for years to come.😀🤘🤙

Creating a desk lamp with form and function, find a perfect union in this task lamp. With its utilitarian counterweight design, the light may be dimmed with the switch located on the power cord. 10 LEDs put out the equivalent of a 40w incandescent bulb. I will be posting this for sale soon on Etsy. Additional photos show the build steps.

After a busy January, I've had time to get back into the shop. I turned out some new LED Desk slash bedside lamps. These have a USB 2.0 plug, and leverage energy-saving LEDs consuming only between 3 to 5 watts. They make excellent desk lamps and I can add in watch, phone, or cord retention to them for charging up your assortment of mobile devices. These will be for sale via Etsy tomorrow, starting at $50. 🤟

This is a KIS Charge Station. Great for the bedside table. It will keep your iPhone, Apple Watch, and glasses right where they should be. It comes with a combo Apple cord and Apple Watch Charger that are USB-C.

It's comprised of Maple with a slice of Walnut. I love combining different wood spieces for that special splash. It's approximately 9" L x 4"W x 5 1/2 H (without phone).

SUSI Wood!? So for those of you who know me, maybe your asking yourselves, "Mya...what's up with that!??" Well, to start this FB page off right, I'm thinking sharing "that" story might be nice place to begin? Here's a quick recount of the SUSI project, that turned obsession...

Susi Wood, as a side business, started back in the Spring of 2023. I was out in our driveway building Liz and I a new bedframe & headboard when three things happened from that experience.

The first, maybe the most important, is I really really enjoyed the experience. I've always doodled in carpentry and every time really enjoyed it. I love to create, no matter the media.

The next, a neighbor out for a walk stopped by and asked me about it, then offered me $2,000 for it! Which I replied Wow, thank you, but it's not for sale.

Finally, when the big reveal happened, Liz, my partner, absolutely LOVED it! (phewww!😄🤩🥳😉) Then she planted the idea, "Hey, why don't you start doing this as a side business???" I'm so grateful that she supported me in heading down this road! Thanks Sweetie!

From there, it took about about three months to get a shop set up and get working on some ideas. So far, I've kept things simple, building Charge Stations, Cutting Boards, and some Desk Lamps. Attached are some pictures of my first productions, many are for sale on Etsy...
