So sad to see my building gone!
I really loved that place…but I made the right decision to sell. The new owners’ redevelopment plans will provide some much-needed housing and additional retail shops in Lincoln Park.

“When are you reopening?”

I’ve been getting calls from many former customers who are wondering when and where I will reopen. I had such great customers! Well, I’ve decided not to reopen.

I searched for another store since last July and wasn’t able to find exactly what I wanted. During that time I realized I enjoy having occasional sales at my home and dabbling in real estate better than being tied down to a store.

My family, friends and fur babies deserve more of my time, and I’m going to make sure that happens!

I usually have one or two occasional sales in summer/fall. I post ads on Facebook and Craigslist. I don’t have any idea yet when I will have these sales. I typically sell the same kinds of things I sold in the store. Hopefully I will see some of you at my next sale!

I want to thank all of you for shopping in my store! I really enjoyed getting to know you!

We were open until 5 p.m. Saturday. Our final customer purchased our “Welcome” sign! By Sunday afternoon all the remaining merchandise was boxed. The glass shelving units are being removed today and will be used at a railroad museum in the Twin Cities. The checkout counter and a few other large items will be picked up throughout the week. We still have a variety of displays left for sale. If you are interested in looking at what we have left please comment below, PM or call us to set up a time to look! We will vacate the building Friday, so all items would need to be removed by then.

It’s been a bittersweet few days but we are hopeful that we can find a new space for Boathouse Treats & Treasures! We will be keeping this page to post updates as we have them. So please stay tuned 🙂. Thanks again for your business and friendship!

3 days until we close 😢 Stop in to make an offer on all remaining merchandise. We also have a few great display items (tables, racks, etc.) available at low prices! Plus all NEW puzzels are 25% off and make great Christmas gifts!

It’s with mixed emotions I share some big news. We’ve sold our building and it will be demolished before winter.

The Seaway Hotel building next door to us is also being demolished. A new, four-story apartment/retail complex will be built in its place. These developers are also buying our property.

We’ve known about this since June and have been searching for a new location, but haven’t found what we are looking for. I will continue to look, but I may take it easy for a while! I haven’t had a vacation in a long time!

Our last day will be October 23rd. We’ve sold all of the large display cases but there are some smaller ones still available and still a nice selection of merchandise. Stop in and check things out. If you see anything you like, even parts of the store, it’s probably for sale!

The past year has been a wonderful experience for me! I learned a lot and met many wonderful people. I loved being part of the Lincoln Park Craft District and part of such a creative group!

Some customers who knew about this have wondered if I am sad about what is happening. I am not! The buyers were very fair with us and now I can move forward with something new!
