What started as a creative outlet eventually turned into a resourceful smorgasbord of repurposing vintage jackets & dilapidated kiddie pools. It all began when I wanted to make stuff with leather but didn’t know where to find any (spoiler: it was thrift stores). Add getting grossed out by my own consumption habits & here I am today making cool, wearable stuff out of trash.

Because there's already enough cool stuff in the world without starting from scratch making something new.

My sewing machine and I have repaired 240 items so far this year!
Which serves as a reminder that every little act adds up.
That small actions can grow into something bigger.
That it can feel like you’re only spitting into the ocean.
But even spit wads create ripples.

If you collected McDonald’s toys in 1994, it’s possible you now have a child with their own “collections.”
This tote is for you.
Or for them.
It’s for anyone with a collection of tiny trinkets.
It’s a trinket tote.
And if that first sentence DOES apply to you- I highly recommend wearing it to the grocery store, plopping your kid in the cart and enjoying a low stress shopping experience.

What do you get when you happen to have a greenhouse and some popped pool toys lying around?

Art!

But first, ask strangers to cut plastic scraps into shapes, spray them with water and stick them onto the walls.

Grateful for a community willing to run with weird ideas and see the beauty when we all come together 🩷

It’s shapes on a greenhouse, but it’s actually SO much more. This project represents how we’re better when we flock together. Alone, we are one piece of the puzzle, but our collective actions can make something bigger and when we gather our ideas we can create something beautiful.

Case in point- we can make art from trash! All of these colorful materials are popped pool floaties!

What an honor it was to watch your faces light up when you picked up a pair of scissors, started cutting, creating and connecting with one another over crafts.
