CRAVE by Carli Rae Vergamini Clothing repairer 🧵
Obsessed with upcycling ♻️
I'd rather be thrifting ✌️

I've been making & selling stuff since I could hold a crayon & mix a pitcher of Kool-aid. My name is Carli, I'm the creative force behind CRAVE & an advocate for following your dreams. I've always wanted to make it big in the fashion world, & studying apparel design opened my eyes to what that entailed. When graduation day came, I ran as far away from a corporate cubicle as I could & created my ow

n business on my own terms. Using skills & techniques acquired from around the world, resourceful materials, & a whole lotta love, I’m making kick ass accessories with an even cooler back story.

Continually pinching myself that this is real life. That I get to roll up with my mini ironing board, sewing machine and button box, sit across the table from you and hear your stories while I fix your s**z.

If sewing is a dying art, you’re helping to keep it alive. Thanks for continuing to support your local seamstress.

My niche is turning colorful garbage into something cool. And these boxes were too rainbow-y to just recycle.

Sure, you could just Google how to mend your clothes. But here you’re welcomed into a room of people at the same skill level. Here, you’ve carved out time to learn something new. Here, you can get specific questions answered and leave with the tools you need. Here you can also grab a cup of coffee before you settle in and have a reason to get out of the house as winter lingers on.

📢 Due to lingering weather conditions, tonight’s class has been postponed. Hope to see you March 5th at !

Repair is powerful.

And if you join me at the Duluth Public Library next week, it’s also FREE (thanks to Resource Renew)!

Catch me and my sewing machine near the main entrance of the main library branch on Monday, February 9. Bring me your ripped clothes and I’ll do my best to fix them on the spot while we share a mutual love for our local library.

Thanks and for making this happen!

We’ve read Horton Hears A Who countless times, but this week each character felt like real life- featuring the kangaroos as our country’s leaders, the Wickersham brothers as “frozen water” (which has become my new favorite euphemism) and of course our protagonist elephant portraying Minnesotan neighbors protecting that special speck of dust (immigrants) from a boiling pot of beezlenut stew.

Thank you for sharing your stories of MN nice, for spreading the love and taking care of one another. For letting out your inner Horton.
