Duncan High School’s Unified Team is heading to Stillwater for Special Olympics Oklahoma!!!

Special Olympics (and Unified Sports in general) is important because they help create equal opportunities for people of all abilities to participate, socialize, and succeed together. Unified Sports brings athletes with and without intellectual disabilities onto the same team, which helps build confidence, teamwork, communication, and mutual respect.
Inclusion also helps break down stereotypes and encourages stronger, more supportive communities where everyone has the chance to feel accepted, involved, and valued.
These are/will be the most vulnerable people in our community, integration and inclusion should start young 🌱
