Dunlap Industries, Inc. Announces U.S. Thread Division’s Hiring of Operations Coordinator

Dunlap Industries is pleased to announce that Darwin Burdette has joined the company as Operations Coordinator for their U.S. Thread division.
Darwin’s 27+ years of experience performing both direct, as well as supervisory sewing and knitting operations will bring benefits both to U.S. Thread and our customers. He will provide hands-on oversight to material handling, maintenance, production, quality control and shipping.
Working as a team, U.S. Thread’s products will continue to be produced to specifications that meet or exceed the customer’s quality and on time delivery expectations.

Dunlap Industries, Inc. ISO Recertification

Dunlap Industries feels our investments in quality control provides additional assurance to our customers that we are focused on continuous improvement and customer satisfaction. It’s essential to delivering innovative, high quality and customer-focused textile trim solutions.
In 2015, we were excited to transition our certification to ISO 9001:2015. Our move from ISO 9001:2008 to the updated standard demonstrates our desire to always perform at the highest levels of quality and efficiency. Over the last 12 months we have been actively involved in several QMS (Quality Management System) internal and external audits. We have continued to use these tools to improve our business and to help our customers. We are looking forward to the opportunities and challenges in the coming year! As part of our ongoing commitment to providing our customers with a quality product and to continually improve our Quality Management System, we will be completing our yearly ISO Recertification in April.

This year, Tammy Cagle is the recipient of the Above & Beyond award. As a quality assurance technician, Tammy insures that the customer’s orders are produced meeting internal, as well as customer specific, requirements and are shipped correctly. Her knowledge and 37 years of experience along with her natural concern for others and willingness to do whatever it takes to satisfy the customer help her excel at her job and are reflective of why she received this recognition.

Each year a Dunlap Industries employee is recognized by their peers as the individual who has most consistently and extraordinarily demonstrated the willingness to do whatever it takes to satisfy the customer’s needs.
This year, Tammy Cagle is the recipient of the Above & Beyond award. As a quality assurance technician, Tammy insures that the customer’s orders are produced meeting internal, as well as customer specific, requirements and are shipped correctly. Her knowledge and 37 years of experience along with her natural concern for others and willingness to do whatever it takes to satisfy the customer help her excel at her job and are reflective of why she received this recognition. Tammy notices when things change with a customer’s usage and this is invaluable, especially when the change is not intentional and this was the case several times this year. Her alertness helped save the customers from losing money and time or even worse. She is always thinking about how to help support the customer and sales. She helps wherever she is needed including working extra hours, covering for her teammates, pulling others together for a project or working in other departments. She is a great example of the many employees nominated and worthy of this award. We are thankful and proud that Tammy Cagle is a member of our team!
