Inspired by the continual need to design similar-type structures for clients, Blueprint Trader is the brain child of US Air Force Civil Engineer, Brian Vickers. The company was founded on the dual premise that:
1) Designs of previously-built buildings (from other firms) can be site-adapted for other clients in other locations cheaper and faster than they can be developed in-house.
2) Designs of
previously-built buildings (from your firm) have significant worth to other Architectural/Engineering firms in search of building similar-type buildings for their clients. Our Clients serve as both Buyers and Sellers of proven blueprints because they recognize the untapped value potential of previously un-used blueprints from former construction projects and they know that BlueprintTrader.com can serve as a library of proven, off-the-shelf designs they can provide their customers almost instantly, reducing scope creep, overall in-house design costs, and risks associated with latent defects while increasing customer satisfaction and profit margin on each project. We are looking for A/E firms and General Contractors across the US to partner with to begin building the database and fundamentally changing the paradigm of the traditional design process.
