I needed a new sample for my Honeycomb Workshop on Sunday. I love my towels, but I wanted to make the workshop accessible to those that only have a 15" Cricket. So, I am weaving these washcloth/napkins for it. Just a simple rigid heddle loom and 2 pick up sticks are all that is needed!

I just love its golden loveliness! It just brightens up my day!

Workshop is here: https://clearcreekfarmduvall.org/event/rigid-heddle-honeycomb-towels-or-washcloths/

Learn to Cable with Tin Can Knits Snowglobe Hat at Clear Creek Farm

This “Snowglobe Hat” from is a fun introduction to knitting cables, and cute to boot! Students will learn to to use a cable needle to create the “twists” that characterize cabled knit fabric. If we’re feeling adventurous, we may try making cables without a cable needle!

The yarn shown is Woolly Worsted in Pumpkin Pie Spice and Natural.

Friday, February 20th, 1pm - 4pm

Yarn of the week: Apple Blossom

I know it is only February, but I’m starting to see little signs of spring popping up everywhere. My snowdrops and crocuses are up! The wintery world is slowly turning to spring again and spring is my favorite season!

This yarn is called Apple Blossom. I was inspired by the bold pinks and greens of early spring.

Featured Yarn: Superwash Bulky

I have an article out in the Spring 2026 Issue of Weft Magazine. The article is all about my deep dive on finding drape with textured yarns. I wove samples of 8/4 cotton, Berroco Lanas Light, Berroco Aerial, Brassard Cotton Chenille, Schoppel El Linio, and Brassard Cotton Boucle to figure out what it is about these yarns that makes one drape better than the others.

The whole issue is beautiful. I definitely recommend checking it out!

I have a scarf out in the new Spring 2026 issue of Little Looms Magazine called The Flutterby Scarf. I’m always excited to see a new project of mine come out in a magazine. I loved weaving this one in Lanas Light. There is an arrow pattern of Brooks Bouquet that I felt looked like the breeze on a cool spring day. It is perfectly cozy for those those days when it is still cold, but heading into spring.

We couldn’t be happier with all the Community support for the grand opening for Community Yarn Shop on January 10th! The lovely people at gave us 5 of these beautiful sets for door prizes for the grand opening. Each one is a project bag with instructions for the Kitchener Stitch and a pair of knitting needles with swarovski crystals inside. How fancy is that! We may have to think up some more door prizes while we are at it!

Additionally, we have two talented friends who will have their handmade bags for sale. Another local artist is bringing her handmade wood buttons made from locally sourced wood. Plus, for the St Distaff’s Day celebration my lovely friend Miryha of is bringing her fantastic fibers, which are all dyed in her studio in Seattle. It’s going to be such a fun event!

Color of the Week: Hearts

It feels like the right time of year for a good solid red. The red of holly berries and cardinals and the red of Christmas. I couldn’t think of a better one than Hearts to encompass all of those reds and more.

This yarn is called Hearts. Warm and passionate, who doesn’t love red? Whether it is for someone you love or a self indulgent treat this red is from the heart.
