A couple of years into Cole & Dainer, I was spending most of my summer days sewing 12-14 a day to keep up with the demands of the weekend Vail Farmer's Market.

Something had to give, but as a perfectionist, it was incredibly hard to cede even a little bit of the control!

Then I got the gift of Trina...she was so willing to learn and to receive feedback over even the tiniest of details. She was committed to our C&D promise of high quality and attention to detail on every single blanket and before long, everything she touched became the gold-standard. Together, we were just two hardworking mamas with messy buns and yoga pants-slinging goldfish crackers and sewing blankets! Trina really took ownership of her role in Cole & Dainer and it was such a privilege to team up with her over the last 4 1/2 years. She's been a HUGE part of this company and our growth and I'm forever grateful!

Reminiscing on our beginning days this morning ❤️ Countless weekends spent at the Vail Market and my littles helping me at my home studio.

So grateful for all the faces I got to meet at the market and the incredible support since our announcement earlier this week.

We are officially sold out of throws but have a good stock of baby blankets (PS, some are on sale!) 🙌🏽

Wow, we are blown away with the orders and especially the love from our announcement yesterday. Thank you 🙏🏻

Our throws are currently sold out, BUT we did find a little more faux fur and will release very last pieces in that size tomorrow morning at 8am MST!!

We have a load of orders to get through, but expect to have them all ready and shipped within about a week’s time. So much gratitude for you all.

A moment of gratitude for our community as we “close up shop” at Cole & Dainer.

Six years ago I started Cole & Dainer at home with my two littles, a joy of printed textiles and a need for both an income and a creative outlet.

There have been some amazing highs and also the inevitable struggles of growing a small business. But YOU, our loyal community have ben the very best part.

I have loved meeting you face-to-face at outdoor markets and getting to know you across the distances of the world. You have made this brand the success that it has been and I thank you from the bottom of my heart. It has been a true honor to take part in your stories as you have given Cole & Dainer blankets to your loved ones in both times of celebration and in times of hardship and loss. These last six years of business have been a gift for myself and my family and I'm so grateful!

What's next?

With all my babies well on their way in school, I now get the chance for a 'new act' in life and am taking this opportunity to learn new things and to grow in a different direction. I am currently working towards a masters degree and plan to start a new career in the field of Speech Language Pathology. As a trained vocalist and with a background in Music, Psychology and Biology I am thrilled to have discovered this path that marries these passions together!
