I've been having the creativity bug lately, so I've been dyeing things just for fun, trying different techniques and color combinations. I guess it's a way of dealing with all .... THIS *gesturing wildly*. I don't feel like putting them up on Etsy because 1) it's a lot of work; 2) they take such a big chunk, and I'd rather save us all a little money; 3) I don't love how Etsy is being run these days.

So what does this mean to you? It means you can snag this moody beauty for $80 shipped (continental US), down from $95 on Etsy. This batch of blank robes has been sitting in inventory of way too long, and I'd like to move them along.

IMPORTANT: it's on the small/short side. It measures 25" armpit to armpit, and 33" from shoulder seam to hem. It's woven rayon, softened to a silky smooth drapey texture. Let me know if you would like more information or pictures. Thanks for looking! ❤️

Remember those awesome robes I was dyeing awhile ago? No? Ok well anyway. I've got a great deal on this one! It's what I would consider a second, the work isn't quite up to my standards. I needed a distraction from all this *gesturing wildly* so I decided to take advantage of our recent snowfall and put some color on this bamboo velour kimono I've had for a while. I have been working on this floral technique, and this has been my best outcome yet. It was fairly labor-intensive, and as happy as I am with the outcome, yet I'm not sure how it will work in my wardrobe. 🫤🤷‍♀️

I haven't been posting because I am burned out on Etsy and am feeling like that journey may be coming to an end. I've still been dyeing here and there for the odd occasional order, for gifts, or for myself. Here are my three most recent projects. The first is a scarf I dyed for myself. I was going for a watercolor floral vibe, and I'm reasonably happy with it. The onesie and accessories are for my new great nephew Cooper, who arrived a couple of days ago. ❤️🐣🍼 These turned out differently than I expected, but that's how ice dyeing goes sometimes. The lounge sets were a gift for a young couple I love dearly, along with matching socks and beanies, because I can be a little extra that way.

In case you’re new to Fire Aunt pumpkins, they are hand-dyed silk-blend velvet (none of that polyester stuff!), with matching hand-dyed thread, hand assembled and tufted. They are weighted slightly at the bottom with glass microbeads, and stuffed with premium poly-fill. The stems are natural dried pumpkin stems, and depending on my mood, glammed up with metallic accents, and in some cases embellished with artificial foliage, and even the occasional spritz of glitter because everything is better with a little sparkle, says me.
