Last week, Brian and I went on a History and Hauntings of Salem Walking Tour (Michael was our guide, he is terrific!). One of our stops was the gardens of the Ropes Mansion. Michael was telling us about the history and hauntings of the place and I turned behind me and snapped this picture. There was a light and sparkles of the rain drops…but when I enlarged it, I saw the image on the far left! Is it the ghost of the man who circles the garden?!? 👻

Marketplace table, free yard sale legs and salvaged iron dry sink…Is it a potting table? Is it a drinks table? I guess it depends on the day! Now to figure out what kind of finish to put on it?

This is what benign neglect looks like- no dark closets, no cutting back, no lifting bulbs. Pretty much watering when I thought of it and a “you’ll make it if you try” attitude. I know I won’t get so lucky next year so I’m enjoying it 😊
