The last few weeks I’ve been pricing a collection of around 550 records. About half of them are already in my booth, B4 in Key To The Past in Clinton. Half of the money will be going to charity. The collection belonged to a Church friend of mine who died. I’ve been getting to know him better through his collection, which is dominated by folk, but there’s quite a few important Rock and Blues albums too. He would insert clippings of articles about the album or artist, affix concert tickets to inner sleeves or the back of albums. I’m leaving all of these with the albums for their new owners to find and enjoy.
The collection is full of first pressings going back to the early 60’s, some quite valuable, some not. A good portion of the collection is in NM condition or close to that. The pictures will give you an idea of what I’ve been finding. I’ll be putting them on eBay, but if you’re interested in any of these 1st and early pressings, I can meet you at the tore to view them in person. Pictured: 1st pressing of The Doors 1st album! Columbia 6 eye pressing of Bob Dylan’s 1st album! A rare recording of Beat poets! Four US Beatles 1st pressings! A white label promo of Cream’s Goodbye! Early pressings of The Rolling Stones early albums! Great copies of the lenticular cover of Their Satanic Majesties Request & the original cover of Some Girls! Exile On Main with the postcards!
