This rare and stunning late 1920’s or early 1930’s crimson red velvet opera cape IS TO DIE FOR! Created by Marshall Field & Company, this historical museum quality antique opera cape or cloak is fully lined in a mauve silk and features two large deep pockets. I can only imagine what was kept in them! The shoulders have a yoke detail along the back with elegant ruching and gathering that creates a magnificent drape. The neckline has a plush white fox fur oversized collar that fastens with a long tie, perfect for a holiday bow. Along the center front is an incredible red and blue exquisitely detailed enamel button. Love is in the air; I’m absolutely smitten. This would make the most perfect holiday piece or gift! ❤️
