I may have finished 2nd and not made it to the Quarter-Finals, but I truly feel like I won in so many other ways. 💛
I am completely overwhelmed by the love, encouragement, votes, shares, messages, and support you all gave me throughout this journey. I could never fully express how much it meant to me. Thank you for believing in me, in Michael, and in our story.
Over the last few days, while the competition was wrapping up, I was also fighting behind the scenes to get Michael help for his addiction and mental health struggles—and running into obstacle after obstacle. It has been heartbreaking, exhausting, and incredibly frustrating.
But if there’s one thing motherhood has taught me, it’s this: I do not give up on my child, children.
Families like mine are facing systems that are broken, under-resourced, and often unwilling to help children and young adults who desperately need support. This fight is far from over, and neither is my mission to raise awareness for Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD), addiction, mental health, and the realities families live every single day, especially in the state of Massachusetts.
So stay tuned. I’m taking some time to figure out the right platform and the best way to use my voice to advocate, educate, and hopefully help other families feel less alone and shine a spotlight on the lack of supports we face.
From the bottom of my heart—thank you for standing beside me. Your love and support carried me farther than you know. 💛
