Meet Tisha. She sent us a note. We asked if we could share it.
She put on the Recovering Martha tee and wrote us this:
“Recovery is a word that means a lot to me. I’ve been in recovery from substance use for almost 13 years, but one thing I’ve learned is that I’m still constantly in recovery from something. Pride. Control. Fear. Busyness. The need to fix everything and everyone.
When I saw the Recovering Martha shirt, I laughed because it fits me perfectly. Martha gets a bad reputation sometimes, but if I’m honest, I’ve spent a lot of my life trying to do all the things, carry all the things, and make all the things happen.
Jesus is still teaching me that His presence matters more than my performance...
