Throwback Thursday to Tawny and I before kids, before Railcar, and before any real responsibilities. When we started Railcar we didn't know how much physical work and time it would consume of us. Maybe of we did, we wouldn't have attempted. 16 years into it, Tawny and I still have our hands filled. We still wear all the hats. Tawny does the production management, customer service, sales, financial, buying, and more. I pretty much do everything from production, development, to cleaning the floors. The rest of the team is crazy busy committed to cutting and sewing the best products for you too. Sometimes things get a little behind! Please excuse any tardiness of anything. Selvedge raw denim and canvas goods isn't the easiest thing to work with. A lot of things can't be rushed. We're a small team trying to do amazing things. And thanks for letting us share what we design and make to you! I see you in the views and the likes and appreciate all the support. It's an extreme amount of work that we do.

Every once in a while, when Tawny has a bit too much to drink, she always says, "We should put a band back together!" Her drunk talk always wants to do it. Maybe once we get Railcar all caught up or get some good help. Tawny's the real star.

Exampke of two versions of striped denim pants. Both available in Railcar men's ans women's fits. I'm wearing the shadow black wabash selvedge raw denim stripe and Tawny wearing the Cone Mills hickory stripe. You could easily wear them with boots like I am, or sneakers like Tawny. Pretty simple.

Railcar alterations and repair service behind the scenes. We aim and do alterations the same methods as the original construction. We'll work on amy brand. And even if it's not Railcar, we do our best to match the original method of the brand. 15 plus years ago, I set up my factory to do as many types of sewing operations before I actually made clothes. That being done, we could, almost, pretty much sew anything. Here's behind the scenes of us shortening the length of a non-Railcar shirt while keeping rhe original black taped hem.

Today, Sunday, I'm resting! Tomorrow, back in the shop cutting and sewing. Get your orders in and well make something for you or fix something you already have.

Flashback to last Friday at Dirty Fest vintage 80s/90s BMX race. I raced in the pre-99 class with my GT Mach 2. Thanks to my family, friends, and my local BMX track Whittier Narrows BMX for the support. It was a busy 3 day event with the family and race schedule. It's been over 20 years since I've ridden this hard. It was good. Fun. Looking forward to the next race.

New! The Railcar Tarmac jacket are now available in 15.5 ounce black warp white weft 100% cotton selvedge raw denim! The new fitment is brand new from the ground up. Designed with a relaxed body width, sleeves that hit the wrist, and a length that should meet the belt line. We have about a one in a half rolls of this black/white left in the workshop. Check out my previous reel of me wearing the indigo version for an on body fitment of this new Tarmac denim jacket. Size to your normally bought size.

Update on the indigo release. The indigo one is sold out and is in mid production! They're being handmade and will deliver as soon as we're done.

2014 when I quit the LA Metro as a mechanic to sew jeans because I didn't want to work 8 hours and make my own schedule... What the heck was I thinking... Now, I constantly work and worry 7 days a week.... Definitely the most craziest thing I ever did.

Pictures are from 2014 when I picked up my tool box with the company Meteo truck to take home and a picture of me sewing selvedge raw denim at Railcar Monrovia.

I think every mechanic has a picture or video of them loading up their tool box when leaving a garage. Very emotional event.
