It’s time to turn the page, time for the next chapter. I’m shifting my focus a bit!
I have loved joining brides on their wedding journey and I will continue to do it but in a different way! There is a new bridal trend that really speaks to me, and if you know me, you know I love a good wedding gown makeover! To future brides: unbox your mother’s wedding gown!! Let’s make a robe for you to wear(from her gown), while you are getting ready on your wedding day!! My first will be shared among 5 daughters🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷 tell me your thoughts on this trend and my first project(pics below). I’m looking forward to many more, each one will be unique and one of a kind!💕
Over the last couple of years, I’ve been helping at church, making quilts that are donated to charities for people in need. I’ve really come to love this as it’s a break from the tedious concentration and perfection required for wedding gown alterations😂 I’ve also stepped up, into a bigger role at church. Our church ladies make every graduating senior a quilt and I will be taking over these projects as well, with supervision my first year😂 I’m very excited to do this also, as I’ve made a handful of quilts for my family and really enjoyed it!
All of that being said….. (the sad part😭) I won’t have time for all of the brides and other formals. I do have a handful of brides for 2026 but I’m ready to switch my focus to robes and quilts!!
I know, I know. I can hear you, WHY????
Sewing, believe it or not, is hard on your body. Sitting long days hunched over a machine causes a lot of issues. I want to focus on me and my health. I want to spend more time with my daughter, whenever she’s available. And I’m sure I’ll be seen helping on the farm more(with hubby & son)! 🚜 🌾 🐄
I deeply treasure so many of my past brides, bridesmaids, and prom girls💕 some of the best connections and friends I have, came to me with a dress!👗
