প্রেসিডেন্টের জলবায়ু বিষয়ক বিশেষ দূত জন কেরি ২২-২৩ এপ্রিল অনুষ্ঠিতব্য প্রেসিডেন্ট বাইডেনের জলবায়ু বিষয়ক শীর্ষ সম্মেলন ‘লিডারস সামিট’ এবং পরবর্তীতে জাতিসংঘের জলবায়ুর পরিবর্তন বিষয়ক ফ্রেমওয়ার্ক কনভেনশনের সংশ্লিষ্ট পক্ষগুলোর ২৬তম সম্মেলন ‘কপ২৬’ আয়োজনকে সামনে রেখে জলবায়ু বিষয়ক ক্রমবর্ধমান উচ্চাকাঙ্ক্ষা বিষয়ে পরামর্শ করার জন্য এপ্রিল মাসের ১ থেকে ৯ তারিখ পর্যন্ত আবুধাবি, নয়াদিল্লী ও ঢাকা সফর করবেন।

Special Presidential Envoy for Climate John Kerry will travel to Abu Dhabi, New Delhi, and Dhaka April 1-9, 2021, for consultations on increasing climate ambition ahead of President Biden’s Leaders Summit on Climate April 22-23 and the 26th Conference of the Parties (COP26) to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change later this year.

I spoke with Joe Biden today, and congratulated him again on his election. We’ve worked with each other before, and we’re ready to pick up on that work and tackle the challenges and opportunities facing our two countries - including climate change and COVID-19.

We talked about those specific challenges today, as well as trade, energy, NATO, anti-Black racism, and China’s arbitrary detention of Michael Kovrig and Michael Spavor. On these and other issues, President-elect Biden and I agreed to keep in touch and work closely together.
