Went to the Rose Cottage in Montrose today for a Downton Abbey themed tea with We had to dress up- of course! Both outfits and parasols made by me . Turquoise and blue dress dates to about 1887 and the purple stripe to about 1907. Such fun! We are completely corseted and have all our petticoats on.

Jenna’s dress was such a fun project! She fell in love with the shape of the dress and the lace- but it didn’t have sleeves! So after altering to make the dress truly fit like a dream- I built and added these chiffon sleeves. Gorgeous! Congratulations Jenna! Dress from

Happy Saturday! As you all know this year has been busier than ever! But getting photos of my brides makes my day (week! Year!)

Jenna’s dress was a fun project with a twist- She doesn’t live here! First fitting was the standard, second was where she lives with her mom being the true VIP and flying the dress down and back! Jenna wanted to add these very cool short puff sleeves and the effect was perfect! Congratulations to Jenna and thank you for sending this gorgeous pic!

Today’s bride is a warrior woman- Michaela. When we started the process she was going through medical issues and changes and had already lost a bunch of weight. We sized her dress down from a 20 to an 8 and regraded the entire bodice to new proportions. Michaela is thriving now and - I must say makes a gorgeous bride!

This dress was truly a dream come true! Hannah wanted a gorgeous full ballgown with standing layers and brought me this lovely gown. The only thing was- she wanted sleeves! So we added sleeves and joined them seamlessly with an illusion neckline that truly make this dress her dream dress!

Genevieve wanted a soft boho beach vibe for her dress. The lace was perfect- but the dress had heavy crinoline layers! We took them out and added some lace to her daughter’s dress and their beach wedding was perfect!

Kylee was an amazing bride to work with! She fell in love with the lace on this dress and wanted to adjust the shape slightly- now it’s the perfect fit and flare! Stay tuned for the other project I did for Kylee! ❤️

Wedding gown shopping is always a challenge- there can be differences in cut or expectation between trying it on and it arriving. Usually it’s caused by pinning a too big dress down- and it’s unavoidable! But- BUT- I can always get the expectation to meet reality for my brides. Marisa was just such a bride! She thought the center section and hips were going to be a specific shape and we worked her dress until it was truly perfect!

Sometimes I have clients who are dear friends of mine- today’s bride is Kate! Kate has been a glorious source of light and love and working on her dress was extra special. Her dress originally had much more crinoline and p**f and we slimmed it and shaped it til it was perfect for her!
