Hello friends. I thought I'd drop by and visit. Give you an update on what's been going on, and wish everyone a happy New Year!

I have almost everything unpacked from the booth, into my storage work space.

I'm selling locally on Facebook Market Place - Renee A Roma. Things are going better than I'd thought it would. In addition to liquidating my vintage wares inventory, I've been returning to one of my first loves in the craft world; beading and making handcrafted jewelry. Most materials are vintage, reworked beads & pearls from broken pieces. (I MUST get an eye exam and new prescription!)

The main focus with my new venture, will be on creating, reworking, repurposing and recycling.

Be looking for a new name and page soon.

Since the ownership of The Schoolhouse Antiques Mall, closed it's doors, the decision has been made to "close Bonnie Mae's suitcase"

While inventory in storage, is slowly liquidated, those seeds will be planted to grow a new venture with my daughter Veronica.

Thank you for being a part of this story, and allowing me to give tribute to my Mother with this business.

"When one door closes another one opens" and without change there is no growth.

Onward.

Quite the learning curve for me, selling on FB Market place. I'm a control freak and OCD looking to make this a pleasureable experience for everyone. That being said... I have sold 11 bagged lots of ornaments this week.

Hi friends? It's been a while since I've touched base. I'm still moving inventory out of the store and into "BMV's basement".

In the mean time I had some thoughts about the word "VINTAGE". What does that word mean to you? Well other than to do with wine. That goes without saying, right?

I posted pictures of clothing from the 60's-70's. Items over 50 years old are considered "vintage". Vintage clothing, accessories, and costume jewelry are the roots of Bonnie Mae's. My focus then branched out in different directions, depending on what was available "in the wild". (When I was on the hunt)

I digress. So I'd love to have you tell me what you think of as vintage? If you can find a picture of an item like that, all the better. Share the memory attached if you wish. I'd it's embarrassing, we'll keep it between the 2 of us.

Christmas ornament lot #1, also posted to FB Market Place.

5 pieces for $5.00 Made with tiny glass seed beads. Same design on backs. Nice and light weight.

Use for the top or ends of your tree branches. Or use them with gift tags to decorate Christmas presents. Cute stocking stuffers, Decorate Cookie platter exchanges. Even hang them on your car mirror. Inexpensive gift for office/gift exchange, Secret Santa, teacher, sitter.

We will just call this "FIGURINES". (I'll add as I find more) descriptions sticker and current lower prices indicated on pictures. (Might not be up to speed with shipping just yet)

Wow do things look different! Moving all my inventory into a working storage location, made me realized how it's going to be different in many ways.

Something I'm missing most, is curating an eye popping, visually appealing booth for you to shop. Although Bonnie Mae's Vintage is no longer a tangible booth, it's still here.

Some changes to look forward to are photographs of individual items and sets, with descriptions, information and prices arranged in separate albums. I am also going to be offering multiple like items in Lots. But best yet... Lower prices! I won't be paying rent for a booth or commission, so I want to pass that on to you.

I would love to make posts that offer tips for caring, cleaning and storing your vintage items. Maybe some interesting history about the background of the items. The time frame they were made and where etc. I would enjoy some input from you on subjects that interest you.

Please bear with me through this transition. Things will happen in stages and eventually all come together. I have a vision that will actually make BMV's even more accessable to you, with personal appointments.

Until that, enjoy seeing "behind the curtain" pictures... The underbelly so to speak. I don't plan to take any more. I feel naked!

It's starting to echo in the booth. Everything has been moved to one side of the hall and condensed, so it's still worth coming in. *Lots still to check out. (*More than pictured) remember... It's all 50% OFF !

Store closes for good on December 1st, so don't wait too long to stop in.

I might actually be packed up and out by the beginning of November. Hope to see you soon.
