We brought some animals to the Cottage Grove fair this week and we've had an excellent time!

Westin is our only showman this year, so we've had some gracious helpers step up to show the extra animals!

Chickens entered:
-Silver Laced Sebright pullet, 1st place in bantam pullet class
-Japanese bantam rooster, 1st place bantam rooster
-Japanese bantam hen
-Red Pyle Old English Game Bantam pullet
-(bonus) 2 partridge cochin bantam hen "grandkids" from our pair
-(bonus) japanese bantam pullet "grandkid" from our pair ♡

Rabbits entered:
-Chestnut netherland dwarf buck, 1st place in netherland dwarf buck class
-Broken chestnut netherland dwarf buck
-Magpie lionhead buck
-(bonus) black otter netherland dwarf doe out of our Ambush line got Best of Breed!

Harley, our bay gelding who was born around 2012. For being green broke, he was a pretty laid back guy! He shaped up to be a really great cow horse for his ranch in California ♡

Lane County Fair 2026 🍀

Although they came close a few times to have a win, our boys didn't win any awards this year and yet this was the most meaningful fair we have ever had!! That is because we got to see first hand how the community comes together to help those in need. It will be a fair to remember!

We also had a really great time bonding with each other and our animals. The rabbits had been shedding bad this time around and were out of condition. The little Japanese hen, Sweet Pea, was runner up for a breed championship but didn't quite make it! The Japanese bantam rooster, Dimitri, was the crowd favorite and he crowed often to show off.

It was Creswell 4-H's first fair and our theme was "Creswell 4-H Hive" both to show our team works hard together and also to highlight our bee club. It turned out well and we had 14 rabbits and 7 chickens representing our club!

My heart ♡ I waited for these guys to finally be old enough to join 4-H. Once they were, they've been packing around small animals and learning all about them for fair time!

Here are our fair pictures for the 2026 season and I couldn't be more proud of how far they've come with handling, knowledge, and compassion for their animals. I hope they know how happy they make their dad and I ♡

They all have learned so much that they will carry through life. I am so proud of my sons and all of their accomplishments. Here's to 4-H 2026 🍀

You've heard of the sheep dog, but have you heard of the chicken sheep? Ferdie's out here harassing the chickens this morning and it's the cutest thing I've ever watched! ♡ He is 2 weeks old!

That's a wrap!!

Our first ever fundraiser has come to an end 🍪 We got super close to our goal and had multiple hard working members joining in the fun! Customers will be receiving cookie dough and pet treats next month when our shipment comes in!! Here are our 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners below: (drumroll please!)

1st place: Easton S. with 52 sales! He will be receiving $70 credit to the 4-H store!

2nd place: Miyah P. with 23 sales! She will be receiving $50 credit at the 4-H store!

3rd place: Haaby kids with 22 sales! They will be receiving $30 credit at the 4-H store!

Each member who put in the time and effort for our club will be getting a thank you gift from the Creswell 4-H Club as well, your hard work did not go unnoticed!

Thank you friends for your support of this awesome little club!! We couldn't do it without you or without these wonderful families ♡

Our Blue Fawn Call Ducks waddling their way to their breakfast this morning! They are full grown, just miniature! Their squeaky quacks are just as cute as their short legs ♡
