This is an appreciation post to the universe. I’m happy you were brought into my life at a time I really needed support. I had many who abandoned me and I had no idea why. You get my weirdness and you get my quirks. You don’t judge me on my good days and you appreciate me on my bad days. You are truly an amazing human with the biggest heart. ❤️ you are a really, really good mother. You motivate me and love me. Sometimes life gets busy but you always understand and we make it work. Guy Fieri is expanding his empire with the announcement of a new festival in his hometown of Columbus, Ohio.

The Food Network star announced the launch of Flavortown Fest on Friday. Planned as a two-day festival held in the Arch City, the event promises to “fuse food and funk, bringing to life the one and only Flavortown, embodying Fieri’s larger-than-life energy and charitable spirit every step of the way,” according to a press release.

Although specific talent has not yet been announced, this description touts wild times will be had: “Guy Fieri’s Flavortown Fest will be unlike any other festival. Like Guy, it will be bold, loud, bad-ass and full of flavor with unparalleled surprises, one-of-a-kind programming and Guy-curated curveballs all weekend long.”


Fans can buy tickets for the June 1 and June 2 festival at http://www.flavortownfest.com. Proceeds from each ticket sold will go to the host’s charitable organization, the Guy Fieri Foundation. It will take place at The Lawn at CAS, a 54-acre campus located on the Olentangy River in the city.

“I was actually born in Columbus, Ohio, so one might say it’s pretty much the birthplace of Flavortown,” Fieri said in a statement. “But in 2024, we’re making it official with the launch of Flavortown Fest, two full days of awesome music, the best chefs, real deal food from around the nation and a whole lotta fun that you’re gonna have to see to believe! This festival will truly be the first of its kind and I couldn’t be more stoked to bring it to my original hometown.”

Kevin Hart will be the 25th recipient of the Mark Twain Prize for American Humor. He'll be awarded during a ceremony at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. on March 24th.

He says, quote, "I've been doing comedy since the inception of this award 25 years ago. To be honored in this commemorative year feels surreal.

"Comedy is my outlet for social commentary and observations on life. I am grateful to the Kennedy Center for recognizing my voice and impact on culture. I can't wait to celebrate!"

Past recipients include Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Steve Martin, Whoopi Goldberg, Jon Stewart, Dave Chappelle, Adam Sandler, and the inaugural winner, Richard Pryor.
