It’s still a week away, but we’re already getting excited for September’s Eureka Main Street Saturday Arts Alive!

During the Friday Night Market summer months we take a break from ArtsAlive, so September is always extra fun, as we jump back into the action. The amazing Jeff Smoller will be keeping our feet tapping with instrumental guitar, we will have tons of one-of-a-kind sparkle from Christina Anastasia jewelry, and you never know what local celebrities will pop in!

Rumor has it there is an amazing sidewalk sale going on Saturday from 10-9 and Sunday 11-3 as well! Details coming soon.

On the road again! Yesterday morning we had a visit from another sales rep, who created a showroom in the back room of the store to show us CMC and Prairie Cotton. Joshua’s family started out in fabric manufacturing in SoCal and only got into the fashion end of things when they bought these brands—two of their biggest clients—when the companies were in danger of closing. (Our devoted CMC hoodie fans were relieved!) The merging of two similar brands with unique styles allowed them to create one color palette—so items from both coordinate well with each other, which makes it easier for buyers like us.

CMC and Prairie Cotton are a true rarity in the fashion world, as their Made in the US labels actually mean the fabric AND the garment (most companies import the fabric and make only the garments here). Joshua’s father focuses on the manufacturing side of things, and Joshua focuses on sales and serves as the rep across the country.

Sue wasn’t as quick on the camera this time and forgot to get photos of the future arrivals. Trust us, though, that you’ll love the new colors, prints, and fabrics—plus long and short hoodies in three new colors—that will be arriving in February through May!

We love when sales reps visit us on the road! Yesterday Stan and Alyssa pulled up behind the store in their mobile showroom to show us the spring and summer collections for FDJ French Dressing Jeans and Renuar. Pictures give you a peek at what will be rolling into the shop in February through May 2027. One of the challenges of retail is how far in advance we place our orders, but we’re grateful for reps like Stan and Alyssa that make it so easy. 😀

We’re honored that a scarf and Christina Anastasia earrings from our shop were among the gifts given to a recent visitor to our community! 😀

It has been an honor to be a part of the Global Education Program. We always do better together.

Mayor Huang, myself, Stacy Young, and several others from the Taiwanese Delegation were treated to lunch and a tour of the Carson Mansion by Dr. Colby Smart (founder of the Global Education Project) and his lovely wife Toni.

Our first Desigual styles of the season have arrived, and our resident artist Christina Anastasia-Prepare for massive JOY! couldn’t resist the chance to try on a few artful options when she dropped by. This Spanish brand is a favorite of the stylish set, with unusual patterns—this one by designer Christian Lacroix—and flattering body-conscious fits.

We’ll feature two more of Christina’s favorite Desigual picks over the coming days. We have a half dozen Desigual styles loaded in the system, with more to come as well.
