🩷🧡💜 We are looking for a few volunteers for a Valentine's Day workshop to help us make these sweet flannel heart "lovies" for NICU babies at Northwestern. 🩵💚💛 The NICU at Northwestern gives the parents of NICU babies these soft, snuggly hearts to sleep with and then give to their babies, so they can be comforted by their parents smell while they're away.

It's free to attend, all supplies are provided, but space is limited, so please register. If you'd like to join us, comment below or send a DM and we'll send you the link!

It’s been a while since I’ve posted but I wanted to share these sweatshirts that I embroidered and did reverse appliqué on as silent auction items I donated to my sisters’ school fundraiser. Should I do more like this? Would other groups like them for a fundraiser?

I didn’t have school yesterday so I got to go with my mom to her work and I helped them sort some of the donations they’ve gotten for a food drive of peanut butter. If you want to read why they are collecting peanut butter or also donate peanut butter, the website is taylorjohnson.com/pbandtj.

Ohlson, Margaret Janavicius, Sarah Smith Weidaw, Suzy Lambert Lewellen and Becky Stockner Hemker that I will drop off or mail today - Monday. If I’m dropping off to you I’m just going to leave them by your door for no contact. If you still need to donate you can send to my mom, leave me an envelope or give straight to Planned Parenthood and tell me. Sorry for the delay with getting bags out but I got Covid.

The bags are coming together! I’ll send you a message and tag you in the comments as your bags are done. You can give me or my mom the money for donation or make a donation directly to Planned Parenthood and show the receipt so I can add up how much this raised. My mom’s venmo is vanessa-irving-4. Put Planned Parenthood in the memo. You can donate any amount and wait until your bag is ready. My parents donated the money for my supplies and I’m donating my sewing time so 💯 of the money is being donated. Thank you!

The fabric is supposed to arrive today! So I’ll start contacting people who ordered as I finish each bag. After I do these I might do this again. If you ordered, once your bag is ready, you can donate any amount by giving me or my mom money to send to Planned Parenthood or donate to them directly and show your receipt.

UPDATE I’m putting a hold on more orders so I don’t get more than I know I can make.

It has been a while since I posted for sale things but I want to help Planned Parenthood so I’m offering tote bags sort of like this that I made my sister in fabric that is a collage of pro-choice buttons. If I were selling them, I would probably charge $25 but for these you can pay whatever you want (my parents are paying for the materials) and I’m donating all the money to planned parenthood. So if you pay $25, all of that will be donated. But you can pay what you can afford. Comment below to order. I can mail them but will need to charge for shipping

I haven’t been sewing as much lately but had fun making this reading pillow for my neighbor’s grandson as a birthday present. I got the idea from Sew on Central, where my sister and I take classes.

I had fun at the Evanston Cradle to Career and District 65 back to school fair. I gave away nearly 70 masks! Thank you The Giving Storeroom-Food Pantry and Valerie D. Summers Family Closet for inviting me and to everyone who bought masks to fund donations! 😷
