✨What an incredible 1st day!!✨

I honestly don't know if I have the words to express how grateful I am.
Thank you to every single person who stopped by The Golden Peacock today, shared a post, sent a message, told a friend, or simply cheered me on from afar. Seeing so many familiar faces (and meeting many new ones!) made this dream feel so incredibly real.
The amount of love and support this little boutique has received has completely filled my heart, and I'm still smiling thinking about it.
I also owe all of my amazing vendors an apology!
I've been so busy getting ready for opening day and visiting with everyone today that I've fallen behind on my vendor spotlights. I haven't forgotten about you! I have so many talented local makers to introduce, and I'll be catching up on those posts over the next several days.

Thank you all for being patient, for supporting small businesses, and for helping make The Golden Peacock feel like home from day one.

As we continue our countdown to opening day, I’m so excited to introduce another incredibly talented local artist (and one of my best friends, and the sweetest person ever 💗) you’ll find at The Golden Peacock!

Lesley is an Evansville artist whose work beautifully captures the delicate details and natural beauty of the world around us. Her creativity shines through every piece, and I’m thrilled to have a small collection available in the shop.

For opening day, Lesley has created stunning shadow-boxed butterfly art in two different sizes. Each piece is thoughtfully arranged in a floating frame, creating a timeless display that brings a little bit of nature indoors.

One of my favorite things about The Golden Peacock is filling the shop with beautiful creations from local artists, and Lesley’s work fits in perfectly.

🌿 Evansville Plant Lovers! 🌿

I have started a Take a Plant, Leave a Plant community plant shelf where anyone can bring a healthy and pest free plant, cutting, pup, or division to share—and if you see one you’d love, you’re welcome to take it home. 💚

🌱 My official Grand Opening for the store is on Tuesday June 9th, but the plant shelf is already set up and available now!

Even though the store isn’t officially open yet, the front foyer is accessible, so feel free to stop by and participate before opening day.

I’d love to see this become a community-driven plant swap where local plant lovers can share extras, discover new plants, and spread a little kindness along the way. 💗
