Statement from Eville Studios, Inc.
Welcome to The Asylum Haunted House, an original creation of Eville Studios, Inc.
Eville Studios and its management team are no longer affiliated with the haunted attraction currently operating on Fulton Avenue. This separation is the result of ongoing disputes involving unpaid contractual obligations and the failure to return property belonging to Eville Studios members.
Under the terms of our agreement, compensation was contractually owed to our organization. While the current owner has acknowledged that money is owed, neither the owner, current management, nor their legal representatives have provided payment or maintained communication regarding resolution. In addition, members of Eville Studios have been denied the return of personal and organizational property.
The Asylum name, logo, artwork, characters, and creative content are protected through contractual agreements and trademark registrations held by Eville Studios and its members.
We understand that the current operators are actively recruiting staff for the attraction. We encourage anyone considering employment or involvement with this company to carefully research the individuals and organizations involved before making a decision.
We also ask for your support by following Eville Studios, Inc. and this page, and by discontinuing support of any social media accounts associated with the current operators.
We would also like to recognize that The Asylum Haunted House was originally created in partnership with the former owner, Evansville Nightmare Factory. Legal matters involving both the former ownership and current ownership remain pending.
Despite these challenges, we are extremely proud of what our team accomplished. Through the dedication, talent, and countless hours contributed by our members, The Asylum achieved recognition as the #3 haunted attraction in Indiana and was ranked among the Top 50 haunted attractions in the nation. While it is disappointing to see others claim credit for these accomplishments, we remain proud of the work created by our team.
Eville Studios is a professional organization made up of individuals with hundreds of years of combined haunt experience. We appreciate the continued support of our fans, friends, and community as we move forward.
As a nonprofit organization, Eville Studios remains committed to serving the community. We will continue our community projects and look forward to opening a new haunted attraction in the future.
Our management will also continue to to protect our property and recover any compensation we are entitled to.
